🏆 Neurodiversity and Stuttering: Theory and Practice with Dr. Chris Constantino (2-hour SLP Masterclass)

🏆 Neurodiversity and Stuttering: Theoretical and Practical Applications

2-hour SLP Masterclass with Dr. Chris Constantino

🔤 Description
Neurodiversity is both an empowerment movement and a way of thinking about disability. Rather than focusing on pathology and impairment, neurodiversity emphasizes natural variation and the unique skills, experiences, and traits of neurodiverse individuals. People who stutter are beginning to work with and derive value from these concepts. The first half of this seminar will discuss neurodiversity theory and its application to stuttering. The second half of the seminar will discuss how neurodiversity may influence stuttering treatment as well as self-help and support. There will be time left for discussion.
